Federal Register Notice: FDA is inviting comments from the public on whether any potential changes to the federal drug regulations are necessary for medical gases. Comments should be submitted by 5/21. The Food and Drug Safety and Innovation Act signed into law 7/9/12 provides that not later than 18 months after its enactment, the secretary of Health and Human Services, after obtaining input from medical gas manufacturers and the public, shall determine whether any changes to regulations are necessary and submit a report to the Senate HELP committee and the House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce.
